chewy oatmeal raisin cookies

so my dad and brother love oatmeal raisin cookies... i do not, yucky!!
but for them, i decided to try to make some
these cookies are super easy to make and i was told "these are better than subways!!"
hahaha


ingredients:

*1 1/3 c. brown sugar
* 3/4 c. shortening

*1/2 tsp. salt
*1 tsp. vanilla
*1/4 tsp. nutmeg
*1 tsp. cinnamon
*3/4 tsp. baking soda

*2 eggs

*1 c. raisins
*2 c. oatmeal
*1 1/3 c. flour


1. Mix together brown sugar and shortening til creamy.

2. Add salt, vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon and baking soda. Mix well.
3. Mix in the eggs.
4. Add raisins, oatmeal and flour. Then mix well.
5. Bake for 12-15 minutes at 350.
6. ENJOY!! :)







lemon squares

i have made these like 1 million times and just now tried them myself... not too shabby!!

ingredients:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 2 sticks of butter

- 2 cups of sugar
- 1 tb flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 4 beaten eggs
- 1 heaping tb of graded lemon grind (i use a bit more. its up to you)
- 1/4 cup of lemon juice

1. sift the flour and powdered sugar together.
2. mix flour, powdered sugar, and butter together til blended
3. pour into a 9x 13 x2 pan and bake at 300 for about 20 minutes or until it is lightly brown
4. Mix the remaining ingredients together while the crust is baking
5. pour mixture on top of browned crust.
6. bake for 25-30 minutes on 350. this dish will turn brown on top. make sure not to let it burn but the browned top is ok.
7. allow to cool on a cooling rack for 30 minutes.
8. sift powdered sugar on top.
9. enjoy.
